Reader’s Question:
My car was parked outside last night and it was “keyed.” I’d just like to ask which coverage, the collision or comprehensive covers vandalism on my car insurance policy. Thanks.

The collision in your car insurance policy means the impact of your insured car with another object which may have caused the upset of your insured car. Meanwhile, loss caused by foreign projectiles, falling objects, theft, fire, explosion, natural disasters, vandalism and malicious mischief, civil commotion and riots, breakage of glass and colliding with any bird or animal are other than collision losses which is also known as comprehensive.
Your situation is considered vandalism and would be covered under your comprehensive coverage. Your car insurance policy over there at Manchester, NH will pay for these damages less the deductibles that apply.
